Shaw Trust - Ability to Work
|
Shaw Trust is a national charity, formed in 1982, which supports disabled and disadvantaged people to prepare for work, find jobs and live more independently. We do this not only by delivering government programmes, but also through our own self funded initiatives, and by campaigning to change attitudes at all levels.
We believe everyone has the right to work and we have campaigned for over 25 years to turn our vision into reality.
Last year we worked with 60,000 clients who face barriers due to disability, ill health or social circumstances. Thousands of employers and public sector organisations also benefit from our range of services for business.
We are the UK's largest third sector provider of government programmes for disabled people and one of the governments lead partners in the delivery of employment programmes for disabled and disadvantaged people.
